BIOGRAPHY

Growing up in both the Pacific Northwest and the Prairies of Canada, Jazmine has had many cultures and their art influence her art through shape and colour.

The beautiful visual storytelling of the Haida Indigenous peoples and Celtic illumination of sacred texts have always been close to her heart. It wasn't until she was in university when one of her professors challenged her to branch out from the Celtic knotwork style she had obsessively done all her assignments in. Never one to give up on a challenge, Jazmine took elements of the tight Celtic knotwork and opened up the interwoven lines and curves. This led to it flowing into a meditative style that allows the viewer to create their own interpretation of the work.

Jazmine currently resides in Alberta, Canada with her son, Liam and furry minions, Harry (cat) and Foxx (dog).
